Governments run so slowly, they're already way behind the curve on this. Jobs are already being lost to AI in some well paid industries and the pace is accelerating. Universal credit will be essential to avoid massive civil unrest which is going to require a fundamental restructuring of the economy. The opportunity to do good is incredible - we can wipe out poverty, disease and stop climate change, thus improving the quality of life globally, but I fear our governments will do what they always do; try to look after their own and leverage GAI for war instead.
