…? Gen Ai is just a medium that some artists choose to use. It’s so funny to be living through yet another era of otherwise normal, rational people losing the entirety of their minds because the camera was invented, or the printing press was invented. Gen Ai will mean that artists who were all locked out because of nepotism and access now and geography and studio restrictions can make their works precisely as they mean to make it. Personally I’m excited for the amount of human art and stories that we’re going to experience because of artists having access to this medium. I’m learning the medium right now, and even though I get DMs by sociopathic weirdos telling me to end my life every single day because the anti-gen ai medium psychosis has become literally insane, to me it’s just fuel. Because in the end, it’ll always come down to the artist. With Gen Ai, the artist controls every single pixel, every movement, every pose, every emotion, every action, every breath of steam, every spark. The prompt/s (or, scripts) is just the beginning of how this medium is worked with. What you’ve missed (by a mile) with this video is that you (and most people) don’t understand how complex language is. Pixels on a screen are finite. There’s only so many levels of pressure and angles a stylus can make. That’s why VISUALLY (with a lot of effort) an artist using Gen Ai can make something meaningful, but it will likely take hundreds of lifetimes (if ever) for Gen Ai to be able to construct a narrative as an artist can. The machine will never be able to write a script because, to make it as plain as possible, the cure for cancer is just a series of words written in a specific sequence. But how long do you think it would take the machine to write the cure for cancer and know it’s correct? I’ve done the math. We’re talking sub-infinite amounts of time. That cure for cancer is identical to Glengarry/Glenross or Goodfellas or Mulholland Drive, et al. Anyway, you can follow along with my progress.
