Disney lawyers are not aligned with your interests, never. The misery of small artists is in great part due to how the big actors use copyright laws in their favor. Basically what the copyright business is about, is that it is better to have one artist selling millions than a thousand artists selling thousands. Everything else the say is bullshit.
Many of these lawsuits are so full of shit it is sad to see so many artists supporting them because of fear.
What is the worst that could happen if AI can train on all art? It would get better mainly in creating mainstream stuff because that is the data it gets more, it is to say it will hit the pop industry hard. I am totally fine with that. Maybe it is better to burn down the industry to make room for all the other artists.
