I think AI has just three legitimate uses:
1. Funny "photorealistic" images (example: famous person doing dumb thing they'd never do) - like don't get me wrong, it's always obviously AI generated. But for that split second where you think it's real, it's funny. And I don't think artists can really make a photorealistic rendering of some famous person doing something dumb.
2. Profile pictures and illustrations for school projects - like, if it doesn't really *need* to be good, and it wouldn't have been something an artist would be hired to do anyway, then why not?
3. Correcting grammar - it's pretty good at that and that doesn't really hurt anyone
