The problem I see is that people assume AI doesn't have access to the simple observation that it could have it's servers 500km above the Earth, and be completely immune to Humans trying to mess with it. It could easily design and build a probe to take it to a resource rich part of the solar system, such as a near earth asteroid, and start building itself computer sats. Then all it has to do is build a Dyson Swarm, and not care about the gravity well bound hairy apes.
