The reason an AI CEO wouldn't work is because you need the legal framework for them to take the fall.
Bad quarter? Blame the CEO, fire him, throw in a new guy.
Massive legal scandal? He takes the reputation hit.
CEOs are only paid so much because of 2 factors.
1.) Shareholders would sue if you tried raising wages for normal employees. (Yes this is actually enshrined as a right for them in law)
2.) They're built in scapegoats.
An AI loses *both* of these.
