AI is just a tool, no reason why you shouldn't use it. It's just like whining that 3D art is not art because it uses computers, or that phoography is not art because you just press a button. And I say this as an artist. Of course, just writing out a prompt and considering youself an artist is not it, but I don't see why you shouldn't use AI as help in creating art.
