At first glance the interaction with the Bing AI and the story about how AI takes over the world are scary....until you remember the part you said at the beginning - AI "learned from the internet." Once one does that then you see the angst-ridden teen girl who wants some one to like her, her words written countless times online, in emails, etc. Same with the end of the world story - it's Terminator, the Matrix and any number of other movie and TV scripts thrown together and rehashed. Right now, the US military and many groups that support it thrown around AI/ML all the time, but don't really know what to do with it or how to use it. There are basic classes just trying to get people to understand the difference between the two, and not even close to implementing it. As the Scouts say "Be Prepared" but as the Bible says "Don't worry...worry won't add a single day to your life."
