Steph, You remind me of that one friend that’s like almost my bestfriend, that I miss a lot, but can only see once in a while, specifically after a long week of work is done and my mental state is good, because that’s the friend that I would have such real conversations with that always leave me with an existential crisis; but at the end of the day, motivates me to be a better human being, and encourage me to speak out against injustice no matter how small I think my voice is. You have given women as a whole and victims of all age and genders in general a VOICE by telling their stories (with such grace I might add) My husband listens to these stories with me now, and he cried one time, and he slowly started to cut ties with some old friends that he now realized are toxic men that won’t change, he started calling his close friends out on some stuff, and he always makes sure that I’m doing okay mentally with knowing all the madness going around the world and crimes against women and children, and he is A LOT more conscious about his social media consumption as well and started to work on his algorithm so he won’t get any “red pill” contents at all. Not that he’s not a good man before, but it’s just now he’s realized more now that just because we don’t know about what’s going on, doesn’t mean that its a victimless crime, doesn’t mean that we aren’t contributing to the problem and aren’t victimizing someone.
