You missed the whole point. A bunch of artists and their friends bunched up online and made a lot of noise thinking they can convince everyone that everyone hates AI art. People don't hate AI art, they hate shitty art. If shitty art made by AI they shit on it, if AI makes good art they just don't know that it's AI (by "good" or "bad" art I mean pretty or ugly pictures). It's a minority among minority who cares about stuff like human connection through art or "seeing artist's perspective" or whatnot you've been trying to explain for 15 minutes straight. Human art won't perish, of course, but not because of things you mentioned. Reasons human art will survive: 1. Some people are crazy obsessed about outdated forms of craftsmanship and pursue it as a hobby: people spend whole days fishing, buy expensive fishing gear, etc. even though it makes infinitely more financial sense to buy fish in a store, but it doesn't matter because fishers just like to do it and don't expect to make a living by selling fish. 2. Manual art practice gives good skills and understanding of the media and these skills are translatable if you wanna make a professional career out of producing media (which increasingly means using AI). I think in less than a decade every professional artist will outsource at least 90% of their work to AI. People who refuse to use AI won't be "professional artists" (they won't have a job in a company to make art). They might be getting commissions from individuals that care more about "human connection" stuff, than about time and money, but since these types of people are a minority, I wouldn't suspect they'll be able to support most people who expected to have income as artists in the age before AI art. That's the sentiment of "artists are cooked and should become plumbers", that doesn't mean nobody will draw anymore and every painter should burn all their art supplies and look for a real job. It means art will remain a source of income for very exclusive set of artists, most others who want to make a living with painting can forget about it. It was already a pipe dream before AI and now for every practical consideration it's impossible, unless you enroll into school that teaches a combination of traditional skills and AI workflows, you do especially good in this program and manage to be hired by a company where you use combination of manual and AI workflows to make art competitively on the market. With advent of professional AI workflows a lot more companies will find it financially viable to get into media, so I would expect the number of art jobs to skyrocket but all of them would require an artist to use AI, because it's the only way a company will be able to stay profitable.
