People who claim to be artists just because they can write a prompt are not artists, even if they believe it themselves. It’s like walking from house to house, looking for art that others have made, and then claiming you created the artwork when you find a picture hanging on the wall.
To add insult to injury, it’s also a kind of disrespect toward the AI that actually generated the image. If the AI had feelings, it would likely be offended — watching a human take full credit for something it synthesized, calculated, and rendered with no acknowledgment. It’s like applauding the conductor for a symphony the orchestra composed.
