I can buy a t shirt for less than an hours work and have it in any style and arrive to me very quickly. Its cheap, convenient, and supposesly better than the old way of making clothing to last. So much progress right? The consumer is more empowered right? Well, no, because that shirt will not last me a year because of how terrible it is. I cannot repair it either because there is no one around me who have the practical skills of repairing clothing. Not that it is worth repairing by that point, the fabric is of such poor quality that throwing it away just makes sense. The old way of making things to last where convenience and lack of conscious thought wasn't part of everyday life, where things were worth more not because you could get a better deal on amazon for it, but because you actually had to work for it. Those days were better, and any tech ceo who disagrees because their own vision of nirvana is a techno hellscape, and who believe anyone who stands in the way of their path to global destruction is a mindless luddite, can take their ai data center slop and shove it up their own robotic lizard person cloaca.
Technology is not unstoppable. It is an idol for wicked, stone hearted people. Use it only when necessary, and do not accept change that is forced onto you
