Damn that was well said, great counter arguments to all of the types of comments.
I’ve been trying to think now as an artist and designer, “why would people be volatile online or create fear in their customers and viewers saying to ‘adapt or die’ ‘embrace Ai” It’s cuz if their main goal is profit and eyes, then they’re gonna do what’s meta.
The most extreme and inflammatory stuff gets people riled up when they feel attacked. Which in turn creates conflicts and viewership on say their videos. Which means an endless stream of content to make money from. Proxy wars with strangers all for the bag.
So like sure it has it’s use cases here and there (I personally can use it for reading the long ass legalize of terms of service stuff in search or protecting myself from anything predatory, and honestly search engines have become dog so if I need to research something and my go to sites ain’t workin’ then it can help to find resource), but beyond that the generative stuff is poopoo kaka.
