At 1:18:46 LeCun claims that ChatGPT was no suprise as the basic technology had existed for years. But back in Jan 2022 (less than 1 year before the release of ChatGPT) LeCun publicly claimed that even GPT-5000 would not be able to understand that a phone sitting on a table would move as the table was pushed.
