the “goal” of AI is that it will become an infinite money machine. the term AI isn’t very descriptive, and that’s by design. AI that automates parts of jobs that are tedious, dangerous, or would benefit from a lot of precision is perfect for making our society better… and the generative AI that most people are referring to just isn’t a part of that. but by calling it all by the same name it makes it really hard to talk about
