We're still at the phase of generative Ai is a system/tool that can be very helpful when it's targeted and configured correctly. Just on my locally hosted solutions (for learning) it's been a great help at rewriting prompts for my table top rpg sessions. They produce stuff that is 90% of the way there, and i just tweak a bit to get it to fit my need. It saves me hours of writing. That same model is only 60% right at looking up and retreiving full information from rule books I feed it, so it completely fails at being a game master. Can I keep tuning the model, sure, but that's time I could have just done the looking up myself.
This video really illistrates it takes a LOT of goverance to keep this generation of models on track.
