These guys are lame for lying and breaking rules. But beyond that, I don't think the majority of regular people would give a shit if art is AI at these events, they buy what looks good to them and makes them feel some type of way. If they can call Nascar drivers athletes then you can't say ai content creators aren't artists and you can't say it's not art just because they did it easier.
Lol I'm not on their side, just saying that if most people bought a superman picture at dragon con because they like it, it's highly unlikely they would've cared whether it was AI or not.
