I could never call myself an artist, I just draw my OC and stuff I want to draw. But get this, my past drawings are cringe and bad, but that's good, because that means I improved to the point where my past drawings are but a reminder of a cringe past. Here's my take on AI art: How they work? They pull images that are copyrighted, take them as value, apply a mismatch of that into a file that can be visually represented. You know who else does that better and knows when they step into copyright region? That's right, you, your mind, you are literally a better version of an AI, it's called inspiration, and it's a key ingredient to making something your own, they don't have to be the same from the source, that's actually what you want from a drawing, for it to be yours based on things you seen irl and not just internet. My drawings take inspiration from the uniform that my friend wear, a particular hairstyle my other friend used, my own uniform, medals and military decorations I've seen on internet and moves. Then make my own, add my own style, put in references that I know as a note that is relevant to her design, emphasize things I want to emphasize because it relates in a big way to her backstory and personality. And just like us, the AI learn too, they are learning under so many iterations, just like when you fail and didn't give up on something. The only problem is that they have no shame in taking copyrighted work and slapping it. So my point is, if you have to resort to use an artificial intelligence that's been trained for a log time, to find inspiration and have them put it in a drawing too in their own way. All that work that your own brain could do to develop your own style and flair and all, all the work your brain could easily do given time (hell, AI is given time too), most likely using many copyrighted works without you or their original flair to it, and then claiming that it's your "art". Do you even have a functioning brain? And I don't even meant on the spectrum, I respected them, I have friends who can be considered on the spectrum, and I can stand in front of them and say that they have non ordinary skills, that, no matter how non ordinary, is still a skill, and it's still a good one too. So they have a functioning brain, they just use it however they want it The question is, do you have a functioning brain like them? Or are you a brainless people in a vegetative state so limp and brain-dead that you have to use an artificial intelligence to replace your intelligence?
