For me its a convenience. I use it to make character portraits and relevant 'this is what place looks like in general' pictures for TTRPG sessions.
But yeah, on closer scrutiny there tend to be quite a few faults usually and the 'style' of ai art is easy to spot (though has been getting less easy to do so).
On an individual level its a fine tool as long as one doesn't deceive themselves that THEY made/created something.
It also makes adequate softcore porn.
