Our government had better take careful note of this process, if the worst comes to pass and the vast majority of people are plunged into poverty by improvements in AI, and if the government remains idle and refuses to provide any kind of wellfare sufficient for a comfortable living. I find it difficult to see how some kind of popular uprising would be averted. Much of the analysis done by this video and people in the comments section assumes stable governance and rock solid property rights, but I would remind you all of Mao Zedongs famous quote: "Political power is derived from the barrel of a gun."
