Just as an fyi to artists who are concerned about style mimicry, there are tools available now that can potentially “poison” these ai models and drastically reduce their effectiveness. I recommend looking into Nightshade and Glaze created by the University of Chicago for anyone interested :)
It does come at the cost of subtle perturbations to images which may be more visible on some art then others but I think that’s perfectly ok if means some protection from being trained on.
