Agent Smith said it best when he held Morpheus captive, "It's the smell.....if there is such a thing." Right there explains quite a lot about AI. A computer may be able to synthesize the compounds and chemicals to get a consistent reaction from humans to determine how they can be categorized as smells. The computer's limit is consistency, not validity. Computers can't smell which is why Smith even question if such a thing really exists. Validity requires the human experience of reality. Programming cannot cross that threshold. Only humans can validate programs because the only purpose of a program is to serve a human use-case.
