What someone like you would call an "autonomous" gun turret I could make in a week - it is not trully autonomous - it DOES NOT make decisions. A motion tracker with a calibrated gun on a servo mount that would shoot everything that moves (you simply program a grid matrix that reacts to pixel changes, and you already have what you would call AI - well, it's not; you can push that much further and it STILL won't be AI).
I worked with the stuff you saw in sci-fi movies - not quite like IRL.
