Why are you scaring people? AI is not going to harm the common man... its pretty much a dead end... Here is the logic... Company makes products> Company falls in love with AI > Fire Employees and replaces with AI> Fired Employees has no money to buy Company's products > Company doesnt make money even with AI > Company stops AI subscription because they cant afford it since there is no1 buying their product. Well its a little bit simplistic view, but its only as simple as people say you will loose your jobs. The reality is that AI cant complex jobs, heck it cant even write a story book.. By the time you reach chapter 5, it will forget the nuances of chapter 1. In the place I am from, many companies have replaced support agents with stupid AI robots and god only knows how many times I have cursed the companies for it. If there was a company who would give humans who understands what I told them, I would have paid them more for that experience. Right now AI is a fad, AI is fascinating, I see it as a simplistic representation of us. But nether the hardware or software exists to replace humans. Now it might be a threat to Junior level jobs, but here is the kicker, if they kick out juniors from where are they going to get seniors? So they cant kick out Juniors either. Basically its not a threat to humans, But it is going to revolutionize how we are going to work.
