Saying AI art is better for disabled artists is massively ablelist. From the perspective of someone whose disabled, I will tell you that almost every therapist and doctor I've ever seen has recommend art in my free time as a form of therapy. Creating art and getting involved in local art communities helps people. It's a form of expression, creates human connection through storytelling like you said, and it builds community. It genuinely does help people who are struggling, to create something themselves.
The only people AI art helps are the AI "artists" who are too lazy to put time, effort and imagination into creating something themselves. It's not about making something they'll appreciate, it's about the desire for instant gratification bleeding into artistic spaces.
