I'm not entirely sure about UBI, but I believe we should significantly expand the programs we already have. There should be indefinite unemployment insurance for anyone over 50 who loses their job, allowing them to collect benefits until they become eligible for Social Security. Worker retraining for anyone who loses their job under 50. Social Security and retirement age should be lowered to 60. Free college for anyone under 30. And they should expand Job Corps, AmeriCorps, and Peace Corps so that anyone who graduates from high school or college can be guaranteed a job to start their career if they can't find a job in the private sector. They should impose a corporate tax on any AI agent or robot deployed to replace human workers, using the revenue to fund these programs. Just my opinions on the matter.
