im soft dev.. can tell you now, chatGPT is allowing me to bosh out code way way faster than without.. and I am able to perform tedious long tasks way way quicker than before. Do i think current gen tech can replace me.. no way! in the future? we cannot say... but actually ... in the past all tech does is create more work of a different type.. what creates work? humans desire for things.. with more ability to produce just creates more desire for things... hence more work. so Im currently learning machine learning.. there will nearly always be devs driving this stuff.. and desire will ensure it just grows. Will AI repace us? not if its based on binary system.. for sure! We're talking quantum.. until there is a stable quantum based system.. we're fine as devs.. :)
