This scenrio while believable don't account for a couple of factors.
1. At the end of the day humans have voting rights. So even if current goverment won't implement UBI, then the party that will, will be elected. Lobbying is powerful, but is useless when you are not elected.
2. It stops shortly before you would expect massive riots if not insurection. It is debatable if AI companies would protect thier intrest with drone swarms.
3. After point 2 there is always option to return to agrarian society, as the value of the land should plomet as well.
4. You can on paper run ecconomy on rich alone, but big companies producing for the masses will fight back.
5. AI progress can be exponential only for a period of time. Every tech rechess the plateau of marginal gaains eventually.
So while it is possible. Such a clean scenerio is highly unlikely. Also the speed is very questionable.
