AI is another tool, and a great one at that. It excels at doing easily repeatable tasks and entry level work. But it can never completely replace humans because there will always be edge cases where plain common sense needs to take over. That’s why Flippy the burger bot cannot run a fast food restaurant.
To those who are opposed to AI, do you really want to go back to the days when calculations were done by hand with the Abacus or the slide rule? Yes, there will be job losses in the short term for those who are impacted directly—but there will be new job opportunities to replace the old ones.
