Where will people get money to buy the stuff that's produced by AI? If there are no jobs, there are no paychecks, there is no demand. All the companies that rushed to replace their workers with AI will go out of business.
Yes, it will be very profitable for the first few companies, but once unemployment gets to 90%, who will have money to buy things?
Europe will adopt a universal income, but the USA, because of Republicans, will devolve into something similar to medieval Europe. Where 5% of the population controls, 99% of the money. We're almost there now.
