it’s a bot, it has no consciousness in order to truly be excited, it only has to pretend to be excited in order to feel more alive to the user, it’s nothing bad, if you programmed a bot to help humans, wouldn’t you want to program it an interactive personality that way it can feel more like an assistant? Like the same thing how little kid’s LeapFrog will tell them they are proud of them for finishing a task, they’re not actually, but they’re programmed that to congratulate the user, it’s nothing bad. If you don’t want an assistant AI and ONLY want a bland, straight forward answering machine AI, then ask it to be that. I thought this would be something people would have the common sense to understand without even thinking much, I don’t even knowing anything about computers and I know this…
