You are wrong. AI could create "art" without "learning" from existing art. Using evolution algorythms and machine learning based on human feedback you could teach AI to evolve its own art. But it would be a nightmare in processing power and workhours of human workers. Learning from existing art is a huuuuge shortcut for AI developers.
