I generate a lot of AI art and have a lot of fun doing it. I don't charge anyone any money for it. I just think it's cool. Like pokemon x can gogh or something. Or dumb memes like Zuckerberg v Musk fighting in a trailer trash oil painting. That being said I think artists should have a choice in to whether thier art is used or not in training a model and I think this is cool and all artists should know how to poison works they own.
All that being said. In the long run, I think AI will get so strong it won't really make a difference on if works are or are not included. If enough copywrite free works are used to train it. It will get good.
But I think paintings and photographs aren't competing with each other for similar reasons.
Perhaps in the future people will pay large sums of money to watch a painter paint or maybe get a video with it or some proof it's original and it will be worth more as ai art becomes more and more ubiquitous.
Idk tho. Good luck and hope stuff works out.
I really like AI in general. I think it has more good to offer than bad. Like curing cancer and stuff
