I've been working in the design industry for 8 years, earned my Bachelor's, started in print production but I've worked for a sizable marketing agency these last few years.
Between outsourcing work to contractors overseas and going fully AI automated, I'm told regularly that quality doesn't matter it's about producing something 'good enough' quickly and cheaply to avoid clients canceling or refunding.
I love my career - but between clients who don't appreciate experience or work because AI does it faster and cheaper, and companies who want my expertise but will under pay while subtlety reminding me that I'm easily replaceable - I've been looking into getting out of the corporate setting for Freelance, or something entirely new.
Just my insight and recent experiences.
