Corporations will keep replacing human workers with AI and robots as much as possible. If work can be automated a corp will see no business reason to retain human labor. In an exotic conspiracy scenario, the wealthy ruling families will slowly wind down the human population to a fraction, replacing workers with AI/robots and create a token economy. Keeping some humans for management, medicine, science, culture, maybe other pursuits, but not most of us. They’ll hire an expert few to figure out all the numbers for their new world. And they would also save earth resources for generations of their progeny by creating a token world economy based on consuming less energy and materials. (Our modern lifestyles have huge eco footprints.) The wealthy have zero incentive to keep a big population going if they can stay in power, have their comforts, and manage to save earth for their kids. The planet won’t last long the way it’s being guzzled through like free beer.
