So, when there is a price barrier to accessing mental health care I can't in good conscience criticize those who are using the free model that is available to them. In this circumstance, its shortsighted to criticize their “decision” to use an AI tool to vent to, to suggest possible diagnoses and therapeutic treatments, or even just to gain context in a toxic situation where they have been gaslit; criticizing that is only valid if there is another option, the illusion of choice isn't sufficient. That isn't to say that what you brought up weren't valid concerns, my point is to say that it would be more appropriate and effective to target this message to those who truly have the ability to choose.
