They are early design flaws. That's all. There's no sentience inside AI just cause crazy people don't have the discernment to use it properly.
Do you know how the monster originally came to be imagined? Because of the same primal fear.
The connection is with what the fear is directed towards. Not the 'fact' that this monster is real, and AI is so similar, it might just be the same monster.
We created the monster. The monster wasn't born.
We fear the monster because we fear the unknown. We mythologise things we don't understand, and we either worship it or fear it.
We rarely just chill the fuck out and use the tool.
(AI literally can't attempt murder. I can't believe how absurd this video is. The sky isn't falling, guys. Promise. This is just a big, scary product that can feel uncanny at times because it can talk back- but it's no different than any other high-tech service we've allowed into our lives. Like Siri and Alexa.
