I believe that AI will only be able to create art when and if its strong AI that can truly think and understand and create new thoughts and connections and at that point its arguably just a person, so we're back to artists needing to be people.
Im sure i dont need to explain how current models are fundamentally not that. And if we ever do get that, we'll have a bunch of moral questions to answer.
The "art" that current AI makes is not art. Its a product. And it's a product that requires art theft.
