I work a lot with AI -- you really need to know its pitfalls before you can use it properly, but you will always use it with trepidation. I found this discussion extremely interesting, but I have a concern that we would never make it better/safer if we don’t use it in its current form. Cars used to be death traps – they still are, but we know through using them, how to make them less so. With AI, we don’t know what air-bags and crumple zones to fit until we kill a bunch of people. That is the scary part.
