The interesting thing about this claim is they, including physicists, are some of the earliest adopters of automation and AI. Most stuff used in other fields are stuff that trickle down from these three fields.
Whenever they do trickle down to the other fields, it's done by some of said fields experts with a group of researchers from the original domains these methods were developed in leading the most significant aspects of research. The field experts become more like consultants who are trained in the system and whose feedback is used to develop it adequately.
This study is severely flawed, for many other reasons as well which experts from many of the other industries mentioned will be aware of. Some of the fields suggested are nonsensical.
