People need each other to be engaged in mutual benefit in order to enforce the social contract. If the uber rich go into their own AI bubble and fire everybody, thinking their security guards would protect their estates and financial empires, they are sorely mistaken. If the disenfranchised are no longer needed, they will no longer follow through their obligations to respect the social contract, of which they would no longer be a part of. Left to fend for themselves, they would retreat into rural life style, farming, fishing and hunting and will feel no duty to respect the boundaries set by a former social order that no longer means anything to them. That means Bill Gates buying up all of the farmland in the USA would mean nothing to the people of the new social order, because Gates and his deed of ownership would mean nothing to them and their world.
