Its called prompt engineering actually, which is a little bit of a skill but not in the sense of an artistic view. You're just trying to make the AI generate more desirable results with the right text prompts and settings. I'm OK with AI art if its used respectfully and not seen as you "owning" it, like you *can* own it, but you can't say you *made* it because technically you didn't. You just told a computer how to draw it.
I offered AI art as a solution for one of my friends who was good at photo editing but couldn't draw. I wanted her to use it as an extra tool to power her photo editing further.
Looks like that was a mistake though as she went whole-heartedly into defending AI art and using it only, in front of her actual skills...
