I usually ask people to use their imagination when I try to explaining my views on AI, specially when it comes to learning and art:
Imagine the first caveman that thought "I can use this stick to protect myself from big scary cat, and hunt big meaty beast" now imagine the the fisrt caveman that thought "I can use this stick to steal food from dude that hunted big meaty beast"
AI is supposed to be a tool, the tool itself is not the problem, its how you use it.
