It may be a little ironic I'm commenting from the account I'm posting this comment under, as this is a full AI channel I've created as an experiment to test the greed of those whom would steal real art and real work for their own. The goal is to make stuff "worth stealing" and then monetize their theft. In the real world I'm a gallery represented visual fine artist. The notion people don't by the method is silly. Some may buy fine art or art in general because of how it looks or makes them feel on a surface level, but what is most overwhelmingly the case is people are buying far more than than the physical item. They are buying a part of the artist themselves. They are buying all the frustrations, joys, failures and successes the artists experiences creating a body of work. These buyers want to know these stories, how it's made, why it was made, the artist's vision, reasoning, and meaning. They generally do care about methods, process, and materials as these elements are important components into the perceived quality of the physical work itself and help tell its story. Art, by and large, is an amalgamation of all the parts leading to it's final completion and they're all important. My work, for example, the methods and materials used are a part of the story in the images themselves. Not directly but they offer a specific aesthetic designed to lend to the overall appearance and emotional feel of the piece. This isn't just me saying this because it's what I want to believe. It's all based on the relationships I've built and conversations I've had with my collectors and admirers, and even those whom dislike my work. But on the flip side, there's also this whole legitimate idea that none of the methods and materials really matter because art is about the why, and not so much the how or what. What is the point of the art, what's being said, or is nothing intentionally being said to make a point. Is it narrative based, or vague for a specific reason.
