I don't know. If an artist is inspired by a copyrighted work that they didn't pay the artist for viewing, are they opening themselves up to lawsuits if their works run in a similar pattern? Like if I draw a skinny anime chick with big eyes and sell that piece of work after viewing this video and you scrolling through some of your work, does that make me liable?
What if I show that work to a friend, and he makes the drawing? Or he saves the work on his hard drive and pulls it up as inspiration when someone commissions him for an anime chick?
To me the argument is dubious at best. But I realize that when AI hits my industry, and can produce work by the truckload for the price of the electric bill, I'll be pretty butt hurt too.
