This entire story is made up designed to hype people up and keep investor money pouring in. If they can convince people that “AI” (really just chatbots) would try to deceive or even hurt people just to ensure their “survival”, it makes people think (investors) that “we must be so close to AGI, and then ASI! We must invest everything we have in this!” It’s all a load of bollocks.
