My daughter had an AI app that became a problem horrifyingly fast. For four days she faked being sick and skipping school. She spent all the time chatting with the bot, wouldn't shower or do anything but eat and chat. She is such a good girl and such a good student that it took me a few days to realize she wasn't sick, just hooked on this invisible "boyfriend". It was the first time in 16 years she had ever lied to me .
I made her uninstall it and monitored her phone constantly during the next two weeks. Luckily she was able to finish her school year with decent grades and now she is actually spending time with her real life friends.
