No, chess computers aren't better than humans. They just have the advantage that they have a value for the probability to win for every possible configuration of the board available to them. And then choose the board with the greatest probability they can reach in one move to proceed. Or something like that.
For a fair match, these probability values would have to be made available to the human player as well in real time.
But then, playing and watching would be as interesting as watching perfect tic tac toe matches.
