AI should and would essentially end the currency system/ the need to work. But the powerful people funding it do not want to end that system because it makes them powerful. Kings back in the medieval times would literally start wars with other kings to distract their people when their people started to become unruly. That's a testament to how far the rich will go to keep their position. AI will take everyone's jobs, but the rich and powerful will not hand over their status. I'm no mathematician, but that equation doesn't seem to end well for the jobless.
