I actually found AI slightly useful when it would produce mostly mush. Like the Google deep dream / artbreeder days. It was like an unpredictable chaos machine which maybe could trigger some creative ideas, as a supplement to the creative process. Now, though, looking at AI images is actually difficult for me. It's trying to imitate real art, but I can see the lack of intention immediately - it's almost like my eyes can't focus on it (maybe because there is no agent deciding the composition intentionally). For reference and inspiration, it is garbage. And now the ethical issues are plain to see...
